Birla Capital & Financial Services Ltd reported a net profit of Rs 0.80 lakhs for FY2026, a turnaround from a net loss of Rs 3.68 lakhs in FY2025. Total income grew significantly to Rs 38.00 lakhs from Rs 5.70 lakhs in the previous year. The auditor, Agrawal Jain & Gupta, issued an unqualified opinion stating the financial statements give a true and fair view. However, the balance sheet reveals a severely distressed financial position with accumulated losses of Rs 922.63 lakhs nearly wiping out the entire share capital of Rs 938.31 lakhs, leaving total equity at only Rs 15.68 lakhs. The company operates in a single segment with negligible EBITDA margins.
Despite returning to profitability, the company has near-total erosion of shareholder equity, raising serious going concern doubts. The stock may face selling pressure due to extremely weak balance sheet fundamentals despite the clean audit opinion.
