Aptech Limited has received a rectification order under Section 154 of the Income-tax Act, 1961 dated April 6, 2026. The Income Tax Department has allowed a deduction of Rs. 20,07,57,151 (approximately Rs. 20.08 crore) under Section 80M. As a result, the earlier tax demand of Rs. 6,36,92,990 (approximately Rs. 6.37 crore) raised against the company for Assessment Year 2024-25 has been fully nullified. There is no outstanding tax demand pursuant to this order. This is a follow-up to the company's earlier disclosure dated February 11, 2026.
Positive development for shareholders as the previously raised tax demand has been completely nullified, eliminating any potential cash outflow for the company. This removes uncertainty and any potential financial liability from the company's books.
