Archies Limited reported its unaudited financial results for Q1 FY26 (quarter ended 30 June 2025). Total income rose to ₹1,798.70 lakhs from ₹1,433.67 lakhs in Q1 FY25, helped by a sharp jump in other income (₹424.05 lakhs vs ₹95.38 lakhs). Revenue from operations grew modestly to ₹1,374.65 lakhs. The company swung to a net profit of ₹30.01 lakhs (EPS ₹0.09) from a loss of ₹101.61 lakhs a year ago, though operating margins remain thin. The Stationery and Paper Bag segment led growth (₹831.89 lakhs, up 50% YoY), while Greeting Cards and Gifts segments declined. The auditor flagged two concerns: inability to verify inventory value and non-deposit of statutory dues for the quarter (except ESI). On the board front, promoter Jagdish Moolchandani was re-appointed as Executive Director for 3 years, Ms. Hanisha was appointed as Additional Executive Director for 2 years, and Mr. Shreyans Kataria joined as an Independent Director. The 35th AGM is scheduled for 24 September 2025.
The return to profitability is a positive signal, but it is largely driven by non-operating other income rather than core business strength. Shareholders should note the auditor's flag on unpaid statutory dues, which is a governance red flag. The 35th AGM on 24 September will require shareholder approval for the director appointments and auditor re-appointments.
