Arihant Capital Markets Limited disclosed that both BSE and NSE have imposed monetary penalties on the company. BSE levied a total penalty of ₹1.2 lakh (including ₹1 lakh financial disincentive and ₹20,000 monetary penalty) for operational non-compliances related to terminal location, PIN code discrepancy, and Authorised Person inspection issues. Separately, NSE imposed a penalty of ₹24.83 lakh on account of alleged reversal trades executed between clients in the cash market segment. The company clarified that the NSE penalty has been recovered from the concerned clients and remitted to NSE. The BSE penalty was debited in April 2026, and the company has requested a waiver considering the issues were inadvertent and procedural in nature. The company stated these penalties do not have any material impact on its financials or operations.
The penalties are relatively small and unlikely to materially affect the company's financials. The NSE penalty was fully passed through to clients, minimising direct financial impact. However, repeated penalties could signal ongoing compliance gaps that investors should monitor.
