Medinova Diagnostic Services reported strong Q1 FY26 results (quarter ended June 30, 2025). Standalone revenue from operations rose to Rs. 207.83 lakhs from Rs. 185.51 lakhs YoY, while standalone profit after tax more than doubled to Rs. 35.63 lakhs from Rs. 16.63 lakhs. Consolidated revenue grew to Rs. 272.13 lakhs (vs Rs. 249.05 lakhs YoY) and consolidated PAT jumped to Rs. 66.08 lakhs from Rs. 42.24 lakhs. Standalone EPS rose to Rs. 0.36 from Rs. 0.17, and consolidated EPS rose to Rs. 0.66 from Rs. 0.42. Auditor M. Anandam & Co. issued an unmodified review report on both standalone and consolidated results. The auditor also included an Emphasis of Matter note regarding the proposed Scheme of Amalgamation of Medinova into its Holding Company, Vijaya Diagnostic Centre Limited, with effect from April 1, 2024, which is pending NCLT approval.
Sharp jump in profits on a relatively small revenue base shows improved operating leverage, which is positive for shareholders, though the pending amalgamation into Vijaya Diagnostic Centre makes Medinova a stock to watch mainly for the swap/exit terms rather than standalone growth. No adverse audit opinion was issued, which removes a key concern.
