Asahi India Glass Limited's Board, at its July 30, 2025 meeting, approved unaudited Q1 FY26 results alongside several governance changes. Standalone revenue from operations rose about 7.6% YoY to ₹1,143.83 crore, but net profit fell roughly 30% YoY to ₹53.37 crore (from ₹76.46 crore), with EPS at ₹2.20 versus ₹3.15. Consolidated revenue grew to ₹1,228.74 crore with net profit at ₹54.79 crore, also down about 29% YoY. The Japanese parent AGC Inc.'s nominee Mr. Masahiro Takeda resigned on his retirement effective July 31, 2025, and Mr. Kazuo Ninomiya was appointed as his replacement Non-Executive Director from August 1, 2025. Mr. Sundeep Kumar Parashar of SKP & Co. was appointed as Secretarial Auditor for a first term of five years (FY26–FY30), and Independent Director Ms. Sheetal Mehta was re-appointed for a second five-year term from November 4, 2025. The 40th AGM was scheduled for September 10, 2025 via video conferencing.
Mixed signals for shareholders: top-line growth continues but Q1 profitability has weakened sharply compared to last year, partly due to higher depreciation and finance costs. The board changes are routine nominee succession from AGC Japan, with no governance red flags. The subsidiary merger effective July 1, 2025 is now formally complete and may streamline the group structure going forward.
