Ashima Limited has partially redeemed its non-convertible debentures (NCDs) held by Subahu Enterprises LLP by exercising its call option. Out of the original 5,000 NCDs (₹50 crore total), the company has redeemed 4,500 NCDs worth ₹45 crore on 14th July 2025. The remaining 500 NCDs (₹5 crore) will continue to be outstanding under their original terms. Interest was charged at 12% per annum simple interest, and the payment was made via bank transfer.
This is a positive signal as the company is voluntarily reducing its debt burden ahead of schedule, which may improve its debt-to-equity ratio and free up future interest outflows. However, the ₹45 crore cash outflow could temporarily pressure liquidity. The debentures were unrated and unlisted, so this does not affect public credit ratings.
