Ashirwad Steels & Industries held its 39th AGM on 10th July 2025 via video conferencing, chaired by Managing Director Mr. Dalbir Chhibbar. The meeting was attended by 4 promoter group members and 62 public shareholders (66 total). The Chairman shared FY25 financial performance: income from operations rose to Rs 180.45 lacs (from Rs 158.52 lacs), while total income stood at Rs 429.94 lacs (vs Rs 439.94 lacs) and post-tax profit came in at Rs 227.13 lacs (vs Rs 246.82 lacs). The company's LPG Bottling Plant at Raigarh remains inoperative as it is not economically viable, and though the Board has postal ballot approval to sell it, no buyer has shown interest. The company continues its strategy of investing in shares, bonds and debentures (total Rs 3,622.15 lacs) and lending funds (Rs 960 lacs, up from Rs 535 lacs). Four resolutions were transacted, including adoption of financial statements, re-appointment of Director Mrs. Sushma Chhibbar, appointment of RSG & Associates as Secretarial Auditor for FY26–FY30, and re-appointment of Independent Director Mr. Baninder Singh Sahni for a second 5-year term. Auditors gave an unqualified (clean) opinion. Voting results are awaited.
Shareholders should note the marginal dip in profits and the unresolved LPG plant divestment, while the company's pivot to investments and lending continues to grow. The pending e-voting results will be the next catalyst for the stock, but with no new industrial or trading business identified yet, growth visibility remains limited.
