Ashok Leyland sold 13,501 vehicles domestically in July 2025, up 4% year-on-year from 12,926 units. Including exports, total sales rose 8% YoY to 15,064 vehicles, led by a sharp 42% jump in M&HCV bus sales (2,862 units) and 4% growth in M&HCV trucks. On a cumulative basis (April–July 2025), domestic sales were nearly flat at 54,728 units, while domestic plus exports grew 3% to 59,302 vehicles. Buses were the standout performer with 19% cumulative growth on the back of exports, while domestic M&HCV trucks remained marginally weak, down 2% YTD.
Mildly positive for the stock as July showed broad-based growth and strong export-led bus demand, but the flat cumulative domestic trend signals that a sustained recovery, especially in trucks, is still not in place.
