Asian Granito India Limited reported its Q1 FY26 results on August 13, 2025. Consolidated revenue from operations rose to Rs. 38,824 lakhs from Rs. 36,008 lakhs in Q1 FY25, a growth of about 8%. The company swung to a consolidated net profit of Rs. 725 lakhs, compared to a loss of Rs. 164 lakhs in the same quarter last year. Standalone revenue grew to Rs. 25,964 lakhs from Rs. 24,175 lakhs, while standalone net profit jumped to Rs. 525 lakhs from Rs. 201 lakhs. Earnings per share improved to Rs. 0.32 (consolidated) and Rs. 0.23 (standalone). The auditor issued an unqualified limited review but flagged two emphasis-of-matter issues: an ongoing Income Tax search-related matter with uncertain outcomes, and retrospective restatement of prior period figures following the NCLT-approved Scheme of Arrangement effective October 16, 2023.
A clear turnaround from loss to profit on a year-on-year basis is a positive signal for shareholders, though the absolute profit remains modest. Investors should note the pending Income Tax litigation and the fact that prior period numbers have been restated to reflect the demerger scheme, which may complicate quarter-on-quarter comparisons.
