Asian Paints reported a strong Q4 FY26 with Decorative Business (India) posting 12.4% volume growth and 10.2% value growth, driven by improved rural demand and higher PreLux portfolio sales. Standalone Q4 net sales grew 10.3% yoy, gross margin expanded 70 bps to 45.6%, and PBDIT margin rose 260 bps to 21.2%, with PAT up 67% yoy. For FY26, standalone net sales reached ₹30,680 crore (+4% yoy) with PBDIT margin at 20.1% (up 130 bps). Consolidated net sales were ₹35,516 crore (+5.1%), with all segments contributing. Home décor sub-segment showed improvement: Kitchen revenue at ₹99 crore with PBT loss reduced to ₹1 crore from ₹16 crore; Bath revenue at ₹95 crore turned profitable at ₹4 crore PBT. International business grew 11% in INR with PBT margin improving 370 bps to 8.5%. The board recommended a final dividend of ₹23 per share, taking total FY26 dividend to ₹27.50 per share (60% payout).
Asian Paints delivered a strong recovery in Q4 FY26, with volume growth re-accelerating to double digits. Margin expansion on the back of raw material deflation and cost efficiencies signals operational leverage working well, which should be positive for the stock.
