Asian Paints has informed the stock exchanges about a SEBI-mandated one-year special window running from 5 February 2026 to 4 February 2027 to help investors re-lodge old physical share transfer requests. The facility covers physical shares bought or sold before 1 April 2019 that were earlier rejected, returned, or left unprocessed because of paperwork issues. Any re-lodged transfer that clears will be issued only in demat form and will carry a one-year lock-in during which the shares cannot be sold, pledged, or marked with a lien. Eligible investors have been asked to submit the required documents to the company's registrar, MUFG Intime India Private Limited. The notice has been published in Business Standard, Free Press Journal, Navshakti, and Punyanagri newspapers on 11 March 2026.
This is a routine regulatory compliance notice with no impact on the company's financials or stock price. It is only relevant for a small set of shareholders who still hold old physical share certificates and wish to convert or transfer them before the 4 February 2027 deadline.
