The Board of Directors of Astal Laboratories Ltd approved the allotment of 1,13,300 equity shares (face value Rs. 10 each) at Rs. 40 per share upon conversion of warrants held by non-promoter investors. Two strategic investors received shares: Sri Harsha Soma (80,000 shares) and Sailaja Arun Kumar (33,300 shares). The company received Rs. 39,99,000 as the remaining 75% of the issue price from warrant conversion. The paid-up equity capital increased from Rs. 436,856,320 to Rs. 437,989,320, and total outstanding shares rose from 43,685,632 to 43,798,932. This follows the original warrant allotment dated 27th November 2024, approved via a special resolution at the AGM held on 5th August 2024.
Existing shareholders face marginal dilution as the warrant conversion adds 1,13,300 new shares to the market. The small increase in share count (0.26%) is unlikely to cause significant price pressure but reduces ownership percentage for current shareholders.
