Zee Entertainment filed the audio recording of its Q4 FY25 and full-year FY25 earnings call with the exchanges. For FY25, operating revenue declined 4% YoY to Rs 82,941 Mn, but EBITDA grew 32% to Rs 11,962 Mn with margin expanding 390 bps to 14.4%, driven by cost discipline. PAT from continuing operations jumped 245% to Rs 6,874 Mn. ZEE5 revenue rose 6% to Rs 9,760 Mn with EBITDA losses shrinking by Rs 5,572 Mn. Q4 FY25 revenue was Rs 21,841 Mn (up 1% YoY), with EBITDA of Rs 2,852 Mn (up 36% YoY) and margin at 13.1%. Domestic ad revenue fell 27% YoY in Q4 due to weak macros, postponed Zee Cine Awards, and a busy sports calendar. Cash and equivalents stood at Rs 24.1 Bn including Rs 2 Bn from the first FCCB tranche.
Margin expansion and sharp PAT growth signal improving profitability, though flat-to-declining revenue and weak ad environment remain concerns. The strengthening cash position and ZEE5 loss reduction are positive for shareholders.
