Aurum PropTech has become the first publicly listed company in India to receive SEBI registration as a Small and Medium Real Estate Investment Trust (SM REIT), to be branded as 'AMSA'. The SM REIT will focus on commercial properties valued between ₹50 crore and ₹500 crore, with 100% leased assets, and will allow investors to participate with a minimum ticket size of ₹10 lakh. Units will be listed on BSE and NSE, giving retail investors regulated, transparent access to fractional ownership of institutional-quality real estate. The company highlighted a large market opportunity — an estimated 350 million sq. ft. of completed commercial office space is expected to be available by FY26, with about 70% concentrated in Mumbai, Delhi NCR, and Bengaluru. AMSA plans to use an AI-driven digital distribution platform for property marketing, investor engagement, asset management, and underwriting.
This is a significant first-mover milestone that opens a new, recurring revenue stream for Aurum PropTech through REIT management fees and could be viewed positively by the market, potentially boosting investor sentiment. However, actual revenue impact will depend on successful scheme launches and asset acquisition, which are still in the pipeline.
