Avenue Supermarts (DMart) reported standalone revenue of Rs.14,462 crore for Q4FY25, up 16.7% year-on-year, and full-year FY25 revenue of Rs.57,790 crore, also up 16.7%. Standalone net profit for Q4FY25 rose 2.6% to Rs.620 crore, while FY25 net profit grew 8.6% to Rs.2,927 crore; both figures include prior period adjustments of Rs.36 crore. EBITDA margins compressed to 6.8% in Q4FY25 from 7.6% a year ago, and to 7.9% for FY25 from 8.3% in FY24, reflecting pressure on gross margins from rising competition in FMCG and higher entry-level wages. The company added 28 stores in Q4FY25 and 50 in FY25, taking the total store count to 415 across 17.2 million sq. ft. Consolidated FY25 revenue stood at Rs.59,358 crore with net profit of Rs.2,707 crore.
Strong top-line growth driven by store expansion, but shrinking EBITDA and PAT margins signal cost pressures that may weigh on the stock in the short term. Investors should watch whether margin compression stabilises as new stores mature and competition intensity eases.
