Avenue Supermarts (DMART) reported FY26 standalone revenue of ₹66,968 crore, up 15.9% from ₹57,790 crore in FY25. Net profit grew 10.1% to ₹3,224 crore from ₹2,927 crore. Q4 revenue was ₹17,205 crore (up 18.9% YoY) with Q4 PAT of ₹725 crore (up 16.9% YoY). Operating margin remained flat at 7.85% while net margin compressed slightly to 4.81% from 5.07% due to higher employee costs, finance costs (up 125% to ₹130 crore), and depreciation. Debt-equity ratio increased to 0.09 from 0.03. The auditor gave an unmodified opinion with no concerns. The Board also took note of an Independent Director's term ending and approved senior management changes.
Revenue growth of ~16% is healthy for a retail giant of this scale, but margin compression and rising debt levels warrant monitoring. The clean audit opinion is positive. Management restructuring and the pharmacy-food business consolidation may drive future operational efficiencies.
