Avio Smart Market Stack (formerly Bartronics India) signed an MoU with the Government of Tripura to set up a freeze-drying facility for fruits and vegetables. The project, titled A Freeze-Drying Initiative on Fruits and Vegetables for Tripura, was signed during the Destination Tripura Business Conclave 2026. It is expected to create around 1,300 jobs (500 direct and 800 indirect), reduce post-harvest losses, and enhance farmer incomes by improving shelf life and market access for locally grown produce.
Marks entry into agri-tech infrastructure; state government partnership could support long-term growth, though execution and returns will take time.
