'Axis Bank's MSME credit could rise by Rs 10,000 cr under ECLGS 5.0'

Axis Bank expects its MSME credit to rise by about Rs 10,000 crore under the ECLGS 5.0 scheme. The bank's MSME portfolio currently stands at Rs 3 lakh crore and is expanding at a compounded annual growth rate of 24%, with overall market share above 8% and over 9% on an incremental basis. Around 50-60% of the Rs 3 lakh crore pool comes from working capital requirements, and the bank has added approximately 400 branches through FY25 and FY26 to deepen reach.
