Axis Bank reported Q4FY26 PAT of ₹7,071 crores, up 9% QoQ, supported by 8% QoQ fee income growth and stable asset quality. Deposits grew 6% QoQ and 14% YoY to ₹13.36 lakh crores, with CASA ratio at 40%. Advances grew 19% YoY and 6% QoQ to ₹12.34 lakh crores, driven by 38% YoY corporate loan growth. NIM stood at 3.62%. Asset quality improved with GNPA at 1.23% (down 17 bps QoQ) and Net NPA at 0.37%. The bank made a proactive ₹2,001 crore additional standard asset provision citing macro uncertainties, which impacted FY26 net profit down 7% to ₹24,457 crores. Subsidiaries delivered strong performance with combined PAT of ₹2,051 crores, up 16% YoY.
Strong quarter with deposit and loan growth momentum, improved asset quality, and robust capital buffers. The one-time provisioning ahead of potential uncertainties is a prudent balance sheet measure that may provide some earnings cushion going forward.
