Axis Bank's Board of Directors has recommended a final dividend of Rs. 1 per equity share (50% of face value of Rs. 2) for FY 2026, subject to shareholder approval at the 32nd AGM. The Board also approved two fundraising proposals: issuance of debt instruments up to Rs. 35,000 crores (including bonds, NCDs, AT1 bonds, green/ESG bonds) and issuance of equity/equity-linked instruments up to Rs. 20,000 crores (through QIP, ADRs, GDRs, or preferential allotment). Both fundraisings require shareholder approval. The dividend, if approved, will be paid within 30 days of the AGM conclusion.
The dividend recommendation signals financial health, while the combined Rs. 55,000 crore fundraising plan may cause equity dilution for existing shareholders if the equity portion is fully utilized. Debt issuance provides capital flexibility for growth or regulatory requirements.
