Axis Bank's Nomination and Remuneration Committee approved grants of stock options and units to eligible employees. Under the 2000-01 ESOS, 68.28 lakh options were granted at Rs. 1,365.90 per option (based on NSE's previous day closing price). Under the 2022 Employee Stock Unit Scheme, 22.70 lakh units were granted at face value of Rs. 2 per unit. Combined, this covers about 91 lakh equity shares of Rs. 2 each. Options and units vest over 3 years in a 30-30-40% pattern, and can be exercised within 5 years of vesting. Both schemes comply with SEBI's Share Based Employee Benefits Regulations, 2021.
This is a routine disclosure with minimal direct impact on stock price. While ESOPs create potential share dilution over time, they help align employee interests with shareholders and are standard practice at major banks.
