B&A Packaging India Limited reported FY2026 revenue of Rs. 14,218.81 lakhs, up 8.5% from Rs. 13,099.13 lakhs in FY2025. However, profit after tax declined significantly to Rs. 706.44 lakhs from Rs. 983.06 lakhs (28% decline). The Board recommended a final dividend of Rs. 1 per share (10% on face value) for shareholder approval at the AGM. The company also re-appointed Mr. Somnath Chatterjee as Managing Director for 5 years. Statutory auditors Salarpuria & Partners issued an unmodified (clean) opinion. Cash flow from operations turned negative at Rs. 98.60 lakhs versus Rs. 838.95 lakhs positive in the previous year, while borrowings increased substantially to fund working capital and capex.
The stock may see mixed reaction: revenue growth is positive but the 28% PAT decline and negative operating cash flow are concerning. The dividend is modest at Rs. 1 per share. Increased debt levels also warrant attention.
