B.N. Rathi Securities has submitted newspaper clippings of its audited Q4 and FY25 results published in Business Standard (English) and Nava Telangana (Telugu) on 14th May 2025. On a standalone basis, total income for FY25 rose marginally to Rs. 5,790.03 lakhs from Rs. 5,582.28 lakhs, but net profit after tax fell sharply to Rs. 367.88 lakhs from Rs. 1,014.66 lakhs (a drop of about 64%). Equity share capital doubled during the year to Rs. 2,075 lakhs from Rs. 1,025 lakhs, indicating a bonus issue or stock split. On a consolidated basis, net profit dropped to Rs. 238.77 lakhs from Rs. 1,053.42 lakhs. Both subsidiaries — wholly-owned B.N. Rathi Comtrade and partially-owned B-Fly Asset Manager LLP — swung to losses in FY25 compared to profits or breakeven a year earlier. The results were approved by the Board on 13th May 2025, and statutory auditors gave an unmodified opinion.
Sharp decline in profitability despite stable revenue, combined with subsidiary losses and a doubling of share capital (which dilutes EPS), is a negative signal for shareholders and may weigh on the stock price. Investors should watch for the detailed annual report to understand the reasons behind the profit fall.
