Bajaj Electricals reported a 2.1% YoY revenue decline to ₹1,240 Cr in Q4 FY'26, with PAT turning negative at ₹68 Cr (vs ₹59 Cr profit last year). For full year FY'26, revenue fell 7.6% to ₹4,462 Cr with a net loss of ₹91 Cr, primarily due to a 12.2% decline in Consumer Products segment. Lighting Solutions grew 9.5% to ₹1,120 Cr with improved EBIT margins of 8.5%. The company took exceptional impairment charges of ₹105 Cr including ₹26 Cr for Aurangabad factory goodwill and ₹29 Cr for moulds/dies. Management acknowledged high fixed costs relative to competition and outlined a cost optimization focus. Cash position remains strong at ₹934 Cr with ₹619 Cr operating cash flow in FY'26.
The sharp decline in profitability and weak Consumer Products performance are concerns for shareholders. However, the strong cash position and positive operating cash flow provide a buffer. The Lighting Solutions growth is a positive signal for diversification.
