Bajaj Housing Finance reported a healthy Q4 FY26 with Assets Under Management (AUM) growing 23% YoY to ₹1,40,706 Cr, driven by 23% growth in disbursements to ₹17,506 Cr. Profit Before Tax rose 20% YoY to ₹866 Cr, while Profit After Tax grew 14% to ₹669 Cr (20% growth excluding a one-time tax benefit of ~34 Cr in Q4 FY25). Asset quality remained stable with Gross NPA at 0.27% and Net NPA at 0.11%, while annualized credit cost stood at 0.19%. Net Interest Margin (NIM) moderated to 3.8% from 4.0% in the previous quarter as portfolio yield dropped 14 bps, partly offset by a 4 bps reduction in cost of funds to 7.3%. Operating efficiency improved with Opex to NTI at 19.2% versus 21.8% in Q4 FY25. The company beat most of its FY26 near-term assessment targets, with AUM growth, ROA (2.3%), ROE (12.1%), GNPA (27 bps), and Opex to NTI (19.7%) all better than guided ranges. Capital adequacy remained strong at 22.46% CRAR with leverage at 5.6 times.
Positive for shareholders — the company delivered better-than-guided performance across nearly all FY26 metrics including AUM growth, margins, asset quality, and return ratios, though slight sequential NIM compression remains a minor watch point. The stable asset quality and consistent 23% AUM growth suggest a steady growth runway.
