Bajel Projects has secured an Ultra-Mega EPC order (Rs. 400 Cr and above) from PowerGrid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) through its SPV 'MEL Power Transmission Limited'. The project involves construction of a 138 km 400kV D/c transmission line from Mahan to Rewa PS, along with 400kV substation bay extension works at the Rewa Substation in Madhya Pradesh. The order supports power evacuation from the Mahan Energen Limited Generating Station and is to be completed within 29 months. The order is a domestic contract and not a related-party transaction.
This is a significant order win for Bajel Projects, falling in the highest band of its project classification system, which should boost its order book and revenue visibility over the next 2+ years. The contract strengthens Bajel's position as a key player in India's power transmission EPC space and reflects continued order inflow momentum from government PSU clients.
