CRISIL Ratings Limited has submitted its monitoring agency report for Balaji Telefilms Limited's Rs 130.68 crore preferential issue completed in January-February 2025. Out of the total proceeds, Rs 35.33 crore (27%) has been utilized as of March 31, 2026, with Rs 95.35 crore remaining unutilized. The funds were earmarked for three purposes: Movie Production (Rs 65 crore), Music Rights/Distribution/Digital Content (Rs 33.18 crore), and General Corporate Purposes (Rs 32.50 crore). During Q4, Rs 18.03 crore was deployed primarily into movie production, while the other two categories remained largely untouched. The unutilized amount of Rs 95.35 crore is invested in various liquid funds and debt instruments including HDFC Corporate Bonds, UTI Money Market Fund, and Axis Treasury Advantage Fund. The report confirms no deviations from the disclosed objects of the issue, with proceeds being utilized in line with the shareholders' approval dated December 19, 2024.
