Balkrishna Industries (BKT Tyres) has submitted to the exchanges a copy of the newspaper advertisement of its unaudited financial results for the quarter ended 30th June 2025, published in Business Standard and Lokmat on 28th July 2025. On a standalone basis, total income from operations rose marginally to Rs 2,760.46 crore from Rs 2,714.50 crore in Q1 FY25. However, net profit after tax fell sharply to Rs 287.17 crore from Rs 489.99 crore, a drop of about 41% year-on-year. EPS declined to Rs 14.86 from Rs 25.35. Net worth stood at Rs 10,464.11 crore with outstanding debt of Rs 3,366.15 crore and a debt-equity ratio of 0.32. The results were approved at the board meeting held on 26th July 2025.
Despite stable revenue, the sharp ~41% drop in net profit and EPS year-on-year is a negative signal for shareholders and may weigh on the stock in the short term, as margins appear to have come under pressure. The filing itself is a routine compliance disclosure and does not change the fundamental picture beyond the weak Q1 numbers.
