Balkrishna Industries' Board declared a 1st interim dividend of Rs. 4 per equity share (200%) on a face value of Rs. 2, with a record date of July 31, 2025 and total cash outflow of Rs. 77.32 Crores. For Q1 FY26 (quarter ended June 30, 2025), standalone revenue from operations rose modestly to Rs. 2,760.46 Crores from Rs. 2,689.53 Crores YoY, but profit after tax fell sharply to Rs. 287.17 Crores from Rs. 477.29 Crores, a drop of about 40%. Consolidated PAT also declined to Rs. 288.30 Crores from Rs. 489.99 Crores YoY. Operating margin compressed significantly to 11.49% from 18.17% a year ago, reflecting cost pressure. Net worth stood healthy at Rs. 10,464 Crores with a debt-equity ratio of 0.32.
Despite the dividend cheer, the steep YoY drop in profits and sharp margin compression are negatives that may weigh on short-term sentiment. Shareholders will receive Rs. 4 per share as interim dividend, but weakening profitability is a key concern to watch.
