Balkrishna Industries (BKT Tires) reported FY2026 standalone revenue of Rs 10,820 crore, up 3.9% YoY, but net profit fell 25% to Rs 1,222 crore due to higher raw material costs and foreign exchange losses. Consolidated revenue was Rs 10,823 crore with net profit of Rs 1,243 crore. The board recommended a final dividend of Rs 4 per share (200% on Rs 2 face value), subject to shareholder approval. Key changes include appointment of Deloitte as joint statutory auditor and reappointment of Vipul Shah as Whole Time Director. The company issued Rs 750 crore of NCDs (private placement) during Q4 and repaid Rs 150 crore of maturing NCDs. Capex of Rs 2,000 crore was approved for capacity expansion in carbon black, PCR tires, and OHT facilities, with carbon black capacity expected by FY27.
The 25% profit decline despite modest revenue growth is concerning and may pressure the stock near-term. However, the strong dividend payout, capacity expansion plans, and robust order pipeline could provide support. Higher debt levels from capex funding warrant monitoring.
