Balmer Lawrie, a Government of India enterprise under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, informed the exchanges that shareholders at its 108th AGM held on September 23, 2025 approved five director appointments. These include Shri Amit Bansal as Government Nominee Director (Oct–Dec 2024, ratification), Shri Harishkumar Madhusudan Joshi and Dr. Vandana Minda Heda as Non-Executive Independent Directors (from March 31, 2025), Shri Rajeev Kumar as Government Nominee Director (July 2025 to June 2028), and Shri Romon Sebastian Louis as Wholetime Director – Service Businesses (from August 22, 2025, for five years). All appointees were confirmed as not debarred by SEBI or any other authority. The company is a PSU, so most directors are appointed by the administrative ministry.
These are largely confirmations of already effective appointments at a government-owned PSU, so the stock price impact is expected to be minimal. Shareholders should note the new Wholetime Director for the Service Businesses division, which includes logistics and travel verticals.
