Balmer Lawrie, a Mini Ratna Category I public sector enterprise, announced its Q1 FY26 results for the quarter ended 30 June 2025, approved by the Board on 6 August 2025. Net total income rose 6.47% to Rs. 685.28 crores from Rs. 643.62 crores in the same quarter last year. Profit Before Tax (PBT) jumped 30.31% to Rs. 75.37 crores, while net profit (PAT) grew 19.53% to Rs. 55.93 crores compared to Rs. 46.79 crores a year ago. The Logistics SBU posted strong topline growth of 36% and bottom-line growth of 83%, while Travel & Vacations grew 11%. Industrial Packaging and Chemicals led in volumes, with the Chennai Container Freight Station recording the highest import volumes.
Strong double-digit profit growth driven by the Logistics segment is a positive signal for shareholders and may support the stock price in the short term. The broad-based improvement across multiple SBUs indicates healthy operational momentum heading into the rest of FY26.
