Balrampur Chini Mills reported its audited financial results for Q4 and FY25 on May 15, 2025. FY25 revenue from operations stood at Rs 5,41,537.83 lakhs, down from Rs 5,59,374.01 lakhs last year, while net profit fell to Rs 34,388.11 lakhs from Rs 43,320.87 lakhs in FY24. Basic EPS dropped to Rs 17.04 from Rs 21.47. The interim dividend of Rs 3 per share (300%) declared in November 2024 was confirmed as the final dividend. The board also appointed M/s. MKB & Associates as new Secretarial Auditors for five years and re-appointed NDA & Associates as Internal Auditors (FY26-FY28) and Mani & Co. as Cost Auditors for FY26. Statutory auditor Lodha & Co LLP issued an unmodified opinion. The PLA project with revised cost of Rs 2,85,000 lakhs remains under progress.
Lower profits year-on-year may pressure the stock in the short term, but the final dividend confirmation and stable governance with continued statutory auditors provide some comfort. Shareholders should note the significant capital deployment underway in the PLA segment.
