Balrampur Chini Mills reported Q4 FY26 revenue of Rs 1,604 crore, up 6.7% year-on-year, driven by higher sugar volumes and marginal increase in realizations. However, EBITDA declined 22% to Rs 285 crore due to an 8% increase in sugarcane price (Rs 370 to Rs 400 per quintal) by UP Government, which compressed margins. Full year FY26 revenue grew 15.8% to Rs 6,271 crore with EBITDA up 5.3% to Rs 741 crore. The company crushed 1,043 lakh quintals of sugarcane for the season, 5.2% higher than previous year. Distillery segment results were subdued as ethanol procurement prices from Juice and B-heavy route remained unchanged for three consecutive years. The Board approved raising Rs 450 crore via preferential equity shares to fund the 80,000 TPA PLA plant capex, with promoters contributing Rs 193 crore without any dilution.
Near-term pressure on profitability from higher cane costs and subdued distillery segment, though strong revenue growth and upcoming PLA plant capex provide long-term upside. Promoter participation in equity raise without dilution is a positive signal for existing shareholders.
