Banaras Beads Ltd reported a significant decline in both revenue and profit for FY2025-26. Revenue dropped 19.27% to Rs. 2548.68 lac, while Profit after Tax fell sharply by 42.54% to Rs. 177.46 lac compared to the previous year. Q4 FY26 also showed sequential decline with revenue at Rs. 650.82 lac (down 15.75%) and PAT at Rs. 54.93 lac (down 5.13%). The CMD attributed the decline to US-based buyers holding orders due to increased US tariffs. However, after tariff resolution, buyers have confirmed orders and export execution has resumed. The company expects turnover and profitability to improve in coming periods and maintains it has good liquidity with no debt servicing concerns.
The steep profit decline of over 42% is negative for shareholders in the short term. However, management's confirmation that US orders have resumed provides optimism for recovery in FY27. The company's debt servicing assurance is reassuring for creditors.
