Bank of Maharashtra has revised its Marginal Cost of Funds Based Lending Rate (MCLR) effective 31st July 2025. Overnight and one-month rates remain unchanged at 8.20% and 8.40% respectively. Three-month MCLR is cut by 10 basis points to 8.55%, six-month rate is reduced by 20 basis points to 8.70%, and the one-year rate is lowered by 5 basis points to 9.00%. This is a routine quarterly review of benchmark lending rates by the bank.
Lower MCLR rates on medium and long-tenor loans may support slightly better loan demand from borrowers, but it also means marginally tighter net interest margins for the bank. For shareholders, the impact is small and is part of normal lending rate recalibration.
