Bank of Maharashtra reported strong Q4 FY26 results with net profit up 34.89% YoY to ₹2,014 crore, driven by 18.81% growth in Net Interest Income to ₹7,755 crore. Full-year FY26 net profit rose 27.17% to ₹7,019 crore. Total business grew 17.47% YoY to ₹6,42,531 crore, with gross advances up 21.74% to ₹2,91,967 crore and deposits up 14.14% to ₹3,50,564 crore. Asset quality improved significantly with Gross NPA declining to 1.45% from 1.74% a year ago, and Net NPA at a very healthy 0.13%. Return on Assets improved to 1.97% (vs 1.78% in Q4 FY25). The bank expanded its branch network to 2,785 branches and saw retail advances surge 32.39% YoY. Capital adequacy remains robust at 18.36% with Tier-1 at 15.41%.
The bank delivered a strong all-round performance with robust profitability growth, improving asset quality, and healthy loan growth. The 21.74% advance growth and sharp NPA reduction indicate improving credit quality and operational efficiency, which is positive for the stock.
