Bank of Maharashtra shared its Q3 FY26 investor presentation highlighting strong year-on-year growth. Net Profit rose 26.51% YoY to Rs 1,779 crore, while Operating Profit grew 18.78% YoY. Net Interest Income climbed 16.27% YoY and Total Business expanded 17.24% YoY to Rs 5,95,163 crore, with Global Advances up 19.62% YoY to Rs 2,73,502 crore and Total Deposits up 15.29% YoY to Rs 3,21,661 crore. Asset quality improved further with Gross NPA at 1.60% (down from 1.80%) and Net NPA at 0.15% (down from 0.20%). The bank reported CRAR of 17.06%, ROA of 1.86%, Cost-to-Income ratio of 37.19%, and CASA ratio of 49.54%. Notably, the Government of India's stake reduced from 79.6% to 73.6% via an Offer for Sale, achieving SEBI's 25% minimum public shareholding requirement. Retail and MSME credit grew strongly, and digital adoption metrics continued to rise.
The presentation reflects strong operational momentum with healthy profit growth, expanding loan book, and further improvement in asset quality, which is positive for shareholders. The completion of the government's OFS to meet minimum public shareholding norms improves float and could support trading liquidity going forward.
