Bank of Maharashtra reported a strong set of numbers for Q3FY26. Net Profit rose 26.51% year-on-year to ₹1,779 crore, driven by a 16.27% jump in Net Interest Income to ₹3,422 crore and an 18.78% rise in Operating Profit to ₹2,736 crore. Total Business grew 17.24% YoY to ₹5,95,163 crore, with Deposits up 15.29% to ₹3,21,661 crore and Global Advances up 19.62% to ₹2,73,502 crore, including a sharp 36.40% surge in Retail Advances. Asset quality improved further, with Gross NPA falling to 1.60% and Net NPA to 0.15%, while Provision Coverage Ratio rose to 98.41%. Profitability ratios strengthened — ROA at 1.86%, ROE at 23.79%, Cost-to-Income at 37.19%, and CRAR at 17.06% with CET1 of 13.10%. The Board also approved an interim dividend of ₹1.00 per share (10%) for FY25-26.
Strong earnings beat, double-digit growth in profits and advances, falling NPAs, and an interim dividend are all positive signals for shareholders and likely to support the stock. Improved ROE of nearly 24% and a near-zero Net NPA reflect healthy fundamentals.
