Bannari Amman Spinning Mills informed exchanges that its Board, meeting on May 21, 2025, has not recommended any dividend for FY25 (Rs. 0 per share). On the financials, standalone net profit came in at Rs. 3,686 lakhs versus a loss of Rs. 2,623 lakhs last year, but this was largely driven by a one-time gain of Rs. 5,348 lakhs from selling its Young Brand Apparel subsidiary; continuing operations still posted a loss of about Rs. 118 lakhs. Revenue from operations declined to Rs. 88,736 lakhs from Rs. 92,352 lakhs a year ago. Consolidated net profit stood at Rs. 719 lakhs against a loss of Rs. 1,413 lakhs previously. The Board also approved a Rs. 40.71 crore rights issue at Rs. 27 per share in a 10:43 ratio, and reappointed Secretarial, Cost and Internal Auditors.
Shareholders get no dividend income from this stock, and the headline profit turnaround is driven by a one-off subsidiary sale rather than improvement in core textile operations. The upcoming rights issue will dilute existing shareholders, though it brings fresh capital into the company.
