Bansal Wire Industries Limited received a favorable appeal order from the Additional Commissioner Grade-II (GST Appellate Authority) on May 18, 2026. The original GST assessment order had claimed Rs. 39,87,711 in tax, interest and penalty for FY 2023-24 under Section 74 of the CGST/SGST Act, 2017, related to alleged issues with E-way bill, blocked/excess ITC availing, and non-payment of tax on RODTEP license sale. Following the appeal, the company paid only Rs. 44,491 and the remaining Rs. 39,43,220 was reduced to nil. The company states the order reaffirms its strong compliance framework and has no financial impact.
Positive outcome for the company as the appeal was decided in its favor with negligible payment required. The reduction of nearly Rs. 39.4 lakh in tax liability to nil eliminates any material financial risk from this GST dispute.
