Barak Valley Cements reported producing 86,430 metric tonnes (MT) of cement and dispatching 86,054 MT during the quarter ending March 31, 2025. This is an improvement over the previous quarter (Q3 FY25), which saw production of 80,392 MT and dispatch of 80,396 MT. However, compared to the same quarter last year (Q4 FY24), production fell by 10.59% and dispatch dropped by 10.92%, when the company had produced 1,02,137 MT and dispatched 1,03,165 MT.
The year-on-year decline of over 10% in both production and dispatch points to weaker demand or operational headwinds, which could concern shareholders about near-term revenue performance. However, the sequential improvement from Q3 FY25 suggests some recovery momentum building into the next quarter.
