Baroda Extrusion Ltd reported FY26 audited results with total income of ₹18,389.57 lakhs (up 15.5% YoY from ₹15,919.17 lakhs). However, net profit fell to ₹733.43 lakhs from ₹1,972.19 lakhs in FY25 primarily because FY25 included a ₹1,883.94 lakh gain on settlement as an exceptional item. Without that one-time gain, underlying performance improved. The company raised ₹3,728.25 lakhs via preferential equity issue, which helped flip Other Equity from negative ₹3,460.83 lakhs to positive ₹550.13 lakhs. Total borrowings were cut drastically from ₹2,636.85 lakhs to ₹558.01 lakhs. The board appointed Alpesh Kanugo as Managing Director (son of Parasmal Kanugo, the existing Managing Director) and Nilesh Shah as Non-Executive Independent Director. Internal auditor M/s. Surti & Talati and IR firm Finportal Investments were also appointed. Auditor issued an unmodified opinion.
Positive turnaround in balance sheet strength with equity turning positive and debt reduced significantly. Appointment of a family member as Managing Director could signal continuity planning but raises governance considerations for minority shareholders.
