Bata India has informed the stock exchanges about two changes in its Senior Management Personnel. Mr. Amit Kumar Gupta, Global Head – Distribution, has resigned to pursue career opportunities outside the Bata Group, with his last working day set for September 8, 2025. In a related internal move, Mr. Ashish Arora, currently AVP – Institutional & Distribution Business, will be elevated to the SMP (Functional Head) role on or before the same date. Arora has been with Bata India for over six years and has led growth initiatives across modern trade, distribution, key accounts, and institutional business. The transition appears to be a planned handover of the distribution function rather than a sudden departure.
The change is a routine senior management transition with an internal successor, which should help maintain business continuity. For shareholders, this is unlikely to have a material impact on the stock price or company operations.
