Batliboi Ltd reported a decline in standalone earnings for FY25 with total income falling to Rs. 29,892.93 lakhs from Rs. 33,226.42 lakhs last year. Revenue from operations dropped about 10.5% YoY to Rs. 29,056.01 lakhs, while profit before tax nearly halved to Rs. 680.46 lakhs (vs Rs. 1,462.33 lakhs), indicating margin compression. Net profit for the year stood at Rs. 505.86 lakhs (vs Rs. 872.53 lakhs), with basic EPS at Rs. 1.23 versus Rs. 2.14. Q4 FY25 turned around with a net profit of Rs. 324.79 lakhs versus a loss of Rs. 202.38 lakhs in Q4 FY24. The board recommended a 12% final dividend (Rs. 0.60 per share) and 1% on preference shares. Operating cash flow was marginally negative at Rs. (42.19) lakhs. Prior year figures were restated following the amalgamation of Batliboi Environmental Engineering Ltd, sanctioned by NCLT with appointed date 1 April 2023.
Investors should note declining top-line and significant profit compression despite a Q4 recovery, along with restated historicals due to the merger. The dividend provides some income support, but weak operating cash flow and margin pressure may weigh on near-term sentiment.
