Belrise Industries posted strong Q1 FY26 results, with consolidated total revenue up 27% year-on-year to ₹22,622 million, led by 29% growth in manufacturing revenue to ₹18,323 million. Profit after tax jumped 56% YoY to ₹1,117 million and EPS rose to ₹1.5 from ₹1.0. However, EBITDA margin contracted to 12.4% from 13.5% in the same quarter last year. The company used IPO proceeds to repay about ₹15,960 million of debt, sharply reducing net debt/equity from 0.98x to 0.16x, with net debt now at ₹7,698 million. Operational highlights include the new Chennai plant commencing supplies to a premium 2W OEM and a leading CV OEM, maiden entry into the M&HCV segment, and first orders from Indian and Israeli defense OEMs.
Robust revenue and profit growth, along with a much stronger balance sheet post-IPO deleveraging, are positive for shareholders. The drop in EBITDA margin is a watch point even as bottom-line growth remains impressive, reflecting the company's transition into new segments and ramp-up costs.
