Berger Paints reported strong Q4 FY26 results with standalone volume growth of 11.8% and value growth of 6.7%. Total income reached ₹2,504 crores. Operating profit grew 17.8% to ₹458.74 crores, with operating margin at an impressive 10-quarter high of 18.3% and gross margin at a 12-quarter high of 42.3%. PAT after exceptional items surged 38.1% to ₹327.28 crores, boosted by an insurance claim recognition. For the full year FY26, standalone total income was ₹10,420.10 crores with PAT of ₹1,095.66 crores. On consolidated basis, PAT grew 27.5% to ₹335.25 crores. The decorative segment delivered strong double-digit volume growth, while Construction Chemicals, Waterproofing, and Automotive Coatings continued to outperform. The group remains net cash positive with cash surplus of ₹1,198 crores.
The strong margin expansion and PAT growth indicate improved operational efficiency and pricing power, which should be positive for the stock. Management's outlook for gradual demand recovery and commitment to keeping operating margins within guided range provides earnings visibility for FY27.
