Bervin Investment & Leasing Ltd reported deeply negative results for Q3 FY26 and 9M FY26. Total income collapsed to just Rs. 5.00 lakh in Q3 FY26 from Rs. 135.22 lakh in Q3 FY25, and stood at Rs. 28.48 lakh for 9M FY26 versus Rs. 768.66 lakh in 9M FY25. The company swung to a Q3 FY26 loss before tax of Rs. 19.55 lakh (narrowing from Rs. 641.29 lakh in Q3 FY25), while the 9M FY26 loss ballooned to Rs. 1,752.37 lakh from Rs. 205.65 lakh a year ago. The deterioration was driven primarily by a sharp Rs. 1,711.61 lakh mark-to-market loss on investments/F&O in 9M FY26 (vs Rs. 892.72 lakh in 9M FY25). The company noted that no leasing business was undertaken during the quarter, confirming it currently operates as a pure investment entity. The statutory auditor, Kumar Amboj & Associates, issued a clean (unmodified) limited review report.
Persistent and widening losses, almost entirely from investment write-downs, are eroding shareholder value. With revenue drying up and a significant gap between cost base and income, investors should closely watch the company's equity base and the quality of its investment portfolio, as further markdowns could deepen losses.
