Best Eastern Hotels Ltd (operator of Usha Ascot, Matheran) has submitted to BSE the newspaper publication of its unaudited standalone financial results for the quarter and nine months ended 31 December 2025, as required under SEBI Listing Regulations. Total income from operations for Q3FY26 stood at Rs 146.90 lakhs, sharply lower than Rs 458.47 lakhs in the same quarter last year. The company reported a net loss of Rs 5.26 lakhs for the quarter (vs Rs 4.81 lakhs loss a year ago) and a nine-month loss of Rs 20.49 lakhs. Basic and diluted EPS was Rs (0.03) for the quarter and Rs (0.12) for the nine-month period. The company highlighted that quarterly results are not indicative of full-year performance due to the seasonal nature of the Indian hotel industry.
Revenue has dropped sharply year-on-year and the company continues to post losses, though the equity base remains unchanged at Rs 168.50 lakhs. Shareholders should note the seasonal nature of hotel business and watch for improvement in the final quarter, as Matheran is a monsoon-dependent hill destination.
